The Derbyshire Jewish Community invites you to the very first session of Shmooze & Views, a new discussion series exploring key topics affecting Jewish life today. Our opening discussion focuses on Anglo Judaism—what it means to be Jewish in Britain, how our identity has evolved, and the unique challenges and opportunities we face as a community.
Our discussion will be introduced by David Miller, one of our members, who will share his thoughts on the British Jewish experience. From history and heritage to modern-day identity and the role of Anglo-Jewry in wider society, this promises to be a lively and thought-provoking conversation.
We encourage everyone to participate—whether you want to share personal experiences, ask questions, or simply listen. This is an open, welcoming space where all perspectives are valued.
